The colours on this painting are bright,and it depicts a view as it would have been in the 1920’s/30’s looking towards the small fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay,
You can see the quaint charming cottages above the beach with the slope down to the bay, where a few figures can be seen. A rowing boat is in the foreground.
Robin Hood’s Bay is a true gem of the Yorkshire Coastline. The town, which consists of a maze of tiny streets, has a tradition of smuggling.
