Figurine
This still life painting is well executed; the shine on the figurine and silver bud vase gives true form to the subject. The pink rose gives elegance and the reflection the polished table adds depth.
The provenance of this painting is backed by the photographs that Archer took in his home. The much loved figurine placed on the barley twist sideboard and again on a table with a vase flowers at which Beatrice, his wife, is sat reading.
It is also really nice to see some of Archers paintings hung on the walls of his home.

PROVENANCE: In a portfolio of paintings as part of the private family collection, UK. It has been the subject in a few photographs which Archer took.
INSCRIPTIONS: Inscribed with signature bottom left .
CONDITION: This painting is in excellent condition, but presently not mounted in a frame.
