CONDITION: The painting is presently unframed an is unfinished.
This painting although is not completed has great presence. It is such a shame that it was not finished as it could have been one of Archer’s best works.
The subject is yet unknown, whether Archer new the man or not is yet to be discovered? It could have be a commissioned portrait. It could have been painted towards the end of Archer’s life? Many unanswered questions are attached to this portrait.
