INSCRIPTIONS: Inscribed with signature left bottom and on the boarder the title November and signature is written in Archer’s hand.

CONDITION: This watercolour is in good condition, possibly a slight yellow ageing has occurred

This may be a painting depicting Archer and his wife Beatrice walking in the November twilight, Archer sporting his top hat with walking cane in hand. His paintings often reflected his life and travels.

This painting has an fantastic atmospheric quality, painted in subtle muted colours with a lovely softness in the execution of the paint. It really captures a foggy November evening in London if that is where it is.The couple lived in Ickenham, Uxbridge in their later married life.
